You created a very lovely block and I love the quilted details on the kites and the clouds. I really enjoyed reading about your memories of kite flying and what it means to you. I think that makes the block even more special. Thanks for sharing.
What a wonderful way to preserve your childhood memories. And I really love that you have photographs of your kit flying, too. The block is so sweet, and great tip to trace the cloud in reverse! :)
The applique block is great and makes me think of a real summer's day. I am terrible when it comes to flying a kite but love to watch others, I enjoyed your story
Such a wonderful block!!! It reminds me of when we lived in Guam when I was a young girl and I would fly kites on the beach with my Dad!!! I like that paper you used as well!
What a Marvelous block!!!! I adore kite flying, it was a huge part of my childhood :) I need to make one and get on out there! Again, such a stunning block!!! XX! Lori
